Turning it around?

Published July 31, 2014 by Harri

So these last two months have seen some great progress.
I went to the Opticians, which is a huge thing for me. As anyone who has had their eyes tested, the Ophthalmologist (Eye doctor) gets all up in your face checking the eyeballs for stuff. Anyway, I didn’t panic, I didn’t freak out in his face and I certainly didn’t scream at him. This is progress.

I have walked too and from work, alone. I have gone to the shops and I have had my medication upped. I am starting to feel a little more human.

Today sees me getting on a bike for the first time since I was in my early teens. A second hand bike has been purchased, I found my old helmet which still fits and I have to pump the tyres up but it’s a good bike by all accounts.

My best friend Tor has been cycling for a few weeks now, so hopefully if she is feeling well enough, will be coming up after work later to take me for a spin and to laugh at me when I fall off. Which is bound to happen.

I will keep you updated x So the first bike ride was a bit disappointing. I didn’t get anywhere near as far as I wanted to.

Second bike ride, I went further for longer and with less stops! It felt amazing!

I am walking to work more, going over the shop more, doing more things on my own again and it’s nice.

So yeah. Getting there slowly x
