Greener Pastures!

Published November 1, 2015 by Harri

Hello peoples, if you are still reading this blog, thank you so so much!

I started the new job on October the 14th. This was the start of a run of 17 days where I worked straight. Yesterday was my first day off! This is my first weekend off, that hasn’t been a booked holiday, in over 3 years!

So, how is the new job going? Brilliantly. Although I am nervous about learning how to take phone calls and fix their IT issues, I am eager to learn what I need to know.

I have been slack with my reading and am currently divvying up my time between reading, watching The X-Files and trying to spend time with the family as we settle into a new way of life.

My mental health has improved tenfold since leaving the garage, I think the toxic environment it created was something that was having a detrimental effect on me. People have noticed how happier I look. I have also lost weight. This is helped by the fact that I have to limit what I am eating (IBS triggering food, etc) and that I am taking my own lunches in. My physical health is improving too, although the lumbar puncture has left me with random back pain. I am still getting headaches and need my eyes testing again, but I can live with them now I am in a work environment that is supportive and doesn’t trigger the migraines.

Life actually feels like it’s on an up.

Just thought I’d let you know how things are going at the moment. xx

Let me know what you think.
